If what is measured is what is important, then the development, agreement and monitoring of appropriate Key Performance Indicators is paramount in assessing both long-term and short-term Executive performance.

To develop effective financial and non-financial measures a combination of Dupont Charts and Balanced Scorecard Strategy Maps are used. They are also useful tools to explain the thrust of the strategy and how the various startegic initiatives interact.
